William in the camera department was a real star, he put up with my long list of questions, helped me thing of solutions to concerns and when i decided what i wanted he got me the BEST price in Newcastle and Sydney (i did a lot of research). Super friendly and knowledgable, really made my experience a positive one. Do recommend shopping here.
Stock issues but plenty of choice and excellent pricing
Store manager makes the store the best it can be, or doesn't.Was after a Laptop, and at the computer section an attendant was chatting to a disheveled man. I was ignored, so I waited for him to finish chatting, which he eventually did and attempted to walk away.Realizing he was not going to help me, without asking, I asked him for help and he reluctantly did. Not very customer oriented, nor helpful was David (the attendant).Asked him about a designation written at the computer description, and David did not know what it meant and told me to wait for Christine (The Computer Girl), then walked away.Christine did okay, but when I haggled about the price of a computer they had advertised but did not have, she was not empowered to make decisions beyond elementary customer care.She said she had to ask the store manage, which ironically was David (the unfriendly attendant). There is more to management than walking around and chatting. Proper stocking of items, particularly if advertised, and customer relations is a fundamental part of being a manager, which David lacked. JB Hi-Fi will do well to train managers, like David, in at least Costumer Service 101.In a later visit, months later, an employee (Alexander) was outstandingly helpful, had good knowledge of the product and very customer service oriented.
Staff was really helpful and professional. I went to grab a coffee machine and staff member came in no time to ask if I needed any help.
I went in today , the security guy at the front is always lovely and helpful , then I went to the middle section to buy a game and that guy was also lovely and helpful then I walk over to the "customer service desk" well lets just say the "customer service" was very poor. One big guy and a maori lady standing there she looks blankly at me doesn't say anything so I turn to the guy and he looks blankly at me also takes my game then drops it ! Doesn't apologize for dropping it! And proceeds the transaction. When I ask if the disk was put in there (as I was watching my 2 children at the same time) he says "yeah" then they both blankly look away and wait for me to walk away so they can carry on their pointless conversation. Very poor customer service guys you both need some customer care courses!
